Frognerseteren Restaurant

Ate dessert last night (a delicious piece of apple pie) at the Frognerseteren Restaurant, which over looks the city of Oslo.

At night the whole city twinkled a multitude of lights rising from the shadows. Above it all, the night time fog rolled in. The whole time we sat watching, I don’t know if the cloud advanced at all, but it had the appearance of a giant storm front looming in place. The fog was lit from below by the city lights, making it look even bigger. It turned about itself like the waters of the Red Sea as Moses makes his escape.

Today we drive from Oslo to Bergen. Picturesque!

A sunny day in Sydney

I spent today walking around Sydney in the sun with one of my school mates. Had a late breakfast and wandered out way from Chippendale to Darling Harbour via White Rabbit Gallery and a Sunday market.

Just one of those uncomplicated carefree days in the sun. A really pleasant way to start the holiday. I may be just a fraction sunburnt though, at least it’ll keep me warm in Oslo (currently 9°C and raining)!

Bug dropped me at the airport in the S2000 with the top down — never fails to put a smile on my face.

Now half an hour from boarding on a clear Sunday night, first stop Dubai at 05:15 (14.5 hours in the air). Feeling peaceful and quietly excited.

CityFail

CityRail: “your train is broken down and will be delayed for the foreseeable future”. At least I have time to figure out the combination lock. Though I really could have done that on the train.
